Communications Specialist/Detention Officer

The Cushing Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Communication/Detention Officer. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have no criminal background, and possess a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Cushing is a diverse community of approximately 7,853 ideally situated less than 1 hour from Oklahoma City and Tulsa. We are also within 30 minutes of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. In 2013 Cushing Police and Cushing Fire moved into a new multimillion-dollar public safety center.

We will be accepting applications until the position of Communication/Detention Officer has been filled. The City of Cushing offers a generous benefits package and competitive salary beginning at $17.00-17.50 per hour depending on experience.
