Incentives

General Incentives

  • Land:  The Cushing Economic Development Foundation has land available for any company with strong financials that withstand a due diligence analysis and have a high-quality comprehensive business plan with a pro forma.  
  • Hookup Fees:  The Cushing Municipal Authority will consider reduced hookup fees for water, sewer, and electric.
  • Permitting:  The site is in the Cushing City Limits and as such, the permitting process goes through the City of Cushing.  After permits are applied for and construction plans are submitted, permitting usually takes about four (4) weeks.  For building, plumbing, mechanical, fuel gas, and fire the City of Cushing has adopted the 2015 National Codes.  For electrical, it is the 2014 edition. 
  • TEA:  Census Tracts: may qualify for EZ Tract, Automatic 5% Counties, Foreign Trade Zone Service Area, Former Indian Lands/HUB Zone, Opportunity Zone, and Targeted Employment Area (TEA)

Site Specific Incentives

  • Grand River Dam Authority’s (GRDA) list of designated Economic Development Sites. This designation may entitle your client to qualify for a more cost-competitive rate structure, based upon their electricity needs and consumption. More information regarding this program can be provided.

Local Incentives

  • In addition to the incentives offered by the State of Oklahoma, the Cushing Industrial Authority is prepared to offer a customized local incentive package, predicated upon the prospective capital investment and job creation specifications.
  • Our city administration understands the importance of public-private partnerships to facilitate growth and works to make the development process as streamlined as possible. Our staff will work closely with you and your client to ensure any required local and state permits and potential development issues are resolved in an expedited manner and within the timeframe needed for this project.
