Our initial plans include a City Wide Directory of Businesses, Restaurant's, Churches, Entertainment, Classified Ads and more. We look forward to your input to help this site grow into something that the whole community can use!
This web site is not run "by" the City, it is run "for" the people within the city. By having a web site where local residents can find local businesses that sell the product they are looking for or offer a particular service, we can strengthen our community by keeping local dollars right here in the community where we all live.
When I lived in Muskogee, OK, I ran a similar search engine type site for a friend of mine. Our goal was to provide a web site where local businesses could promote themselves and other local businesses. Now I'm living in Cushing and hoping to provide the same type of site here.
Why are the listing free and how do we make money? The listings are free so that everyone in Cushing can be listed on the site. We make money by selling advertising on the site, but ONLY to local businesses. Every listing is submitted by hand by me...I verify every business to make sure that they truly are a local business. If you are not yet listed, use the contact us page to let me know who you are!
